So last night we were watching American Idol and Larry the Cable Guy and all of the sudden Addison gets up walks toward the door turns around and screams "I AM READY TO GO NIGHT NIGHT!" Bahahahaha we about fell out of our chairs-it was so hard to keep our laughter in and try to look away. She was dead serious and pranced right into her room and went to sleep. She was tired of watching TV and was ready for NIGHT NIGHT.

So last night Addison and I were in Walgreens and she looks directly at an older black man that was working and says
"You my Daddy"???

OH MY WORD-ya can't take her out of the house!

I nicely said "He may be someone's Daddy but your Daddy is on his way to Ganmomma and Gandadins house-I always tell her the truth. You should have seen the look on this man's face! It was the big eyes and shakin the head like ohhh no-she doesn't know who her Daddy is. Lawdy Mercy.

Another Addison funny-

AJ-my nephew came over the other night to spend the night with us. He calls Bryan-"Uncle Bryan" well ever since AJ was over Addison has been calling her Dad "Uncle Bryan". I tell ya-it is hard teaching a 2 year old these days.

So we were family grocery shopping the other day and please note-we had been working on Big and Little. Addison is little and Mommy and Daddy are big.

So Addison being the extremely observant little girl that she is....

Saw a short man walking down the aisle at the grocery store-she ever so nicely asked

"Mommy-is that a little man!!" OH MY WORD-I am not sure if he heard her or not

But I tried to cover it with "He is a man like Daddy is" she kinda looked at me funny

because he was a short man-but I didn't really need her to tell him that. It was just too funny and a memory that I hope to keep forever-and tell boyfriends about! haha

Everyday I will add to the list for at least 1 thing I am thankful for each day.

Sometimes we have so much negative things going on around us-that we forget about all of the good things.

On another note: New Years was great! Justin, Brooke, Travis, Kelly, Gaspo and Valerie and all of the kids joined us at our house for a New Years get together-although we did not make it to 12 we had a great time eating, talking and chasing the kids. Everyone turned in about 10:30-but no worries I did see 2012 come in as the ~~obnoxious neighbors with fireworks had their hoorah in the street!!~~ lovely neighborhood folks had a nice party.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Ok I may start saying this every year-but.....

This was the BEST Christmas EVER

It started out on Saturday evening at my parents house-such a fun time spent with my parents, sister, sisters bf Chad, Samantha, AJ, my loving hubs Bryan and Addison. What a great time we had telling old stories-~~screaming at the kids~~-laughing at the kids-and just being together as a family. I love Christmas Eve. Usually we sit around and open 1 gift at a time (yes-1 gift at a time). It is the longest most fun process ever!! Makes Christmas Eve really last. BUT this year we have a 2yr old and a 3yr old. Soooo they opened their gifts all up and then the adults and Sam went one by one. Addison got a TV from Mom and Dad, doll, picnic table, dog, books, rain boots (that she had to put on), a panda bear and lady bug, tent, tea set and all sorts of things. Bryan and I must have been really good this year-Mom and Dad were awesome to us. Bryan had me open the gift from him and Addison which is a Cannon camcorder-it is awesome!! We took a video of Addison coming down the stairs and looking at everything Santa brought her. This Christmas was unlike any Christmas I have ever had before. I finally didn't care about me. Sounds odd-but having a child and watching her open gifts is so exciting for me and the twinkle in her eye and the way she lights up and gets all excited-that is enough for me. She has changed me in such a good way. Addison stayed up until about 9:30 on Christmas Eve then woke up about 8:45 Christmas morning. She came down the stairs and Santa had come to see her!!! She was thrilled!! Books, Doll, Reindeer, Princess Tent, Cupcake kitchen, Keyboard and all kinds of toys. She had a blast! Then the 3 of us sat down and opened gifts as a family. Then we all got ready and headed to Oakland to the Harpers house-we had a great time there with Tammi-Michael-Erma-Katie and Bryce. The kids played the whole time and then everyone got to open gifts. Then we headed to Collierville to see Justin and Robin and the Matheny crew before heading back to G'town to see Mom and Dad and Kelly and Chad for Christmas dinner. This was such a special Christmas and the true meaning of Christmas really showed through this year.

I am not sure who is more excited-me or Addison!!

Every night before she goes to bed she asks if we can open presents and when she wakes up she asks again.

Having a child to buy Christmas presents for brings back my childhood Christmas all over again. Last Saturday night we had Kelly-Travis and Marshall over. Addison got a new Cabbage Patch doll named Zoe Addison-a piggy bank and a cool princess story book. Tonight Amy-Ali and the whole gang are coming over for the kids to exchange presents! I told Addison that she will get to open presents tonight. She just grinned ear to ear. I will be off work for 10 days (OHHHH HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY). I plan on getting things done around the house and having plenty of time for Addison to play with her new toys.

The other night I met Mom and Dad at Newks with Addison. I told Addison that my tummy hurt after dinner. She ever so nicely asked me if I needed to go POTTY! Get outta here-what a little stinker.

Age 2 is so much fun-she is learning so much and putting things together. This time of the year she is loving the Christmas lights all up and the blow up Christmas things in everyone's yards. But she especially likes the manger scenes with Baby Jesus.

Ahhh I am so stinkin excited about the big event today!!!

Addison is going to be in a Christmas program at school today-I am thrilled! No worries-my camera is fully charged! I am so thrilled-she is singing Jingle Bell Rock and gets to dance around. Pictures soon to come. Hopefully things will go well-she is not a big fan of crowds;')) took after her Daddy on that one.

Can't wait to download the pics! Glad she was able to make it to school this morning-she was running 101 after dinner last night and went to bed at 6:30p.m. then slept for 12 hours. I woke up in the middle of the night to check her again and she didn't have a fever-thank goodness. Guess it was just from the PCV shot she had yesterday. The Dept of Health sent me a lovely little note through the daycare that Addison was missing a shot. Sure enough I called my lovely pediatrician and she was indeed missing it (ummmm thought you guys were supposed to keep up with that stuff. Any how I have not been impressed. But we went and got our 4th needed shot so she could continue to go to daycare. She was not happy about the shot-so I told her as I was holding her down-we will go see Ganmomma so she can make it all better. It worked and Addison held me to it saying "Go see Ganmomma after the shot was over".

Ok so in the above statement I was very nervous if she was going to freeze or run off the stage to me. BUT boy oh boy did she suprise us and the whole audience. She had everyone laughing and watching. You could tell she was in her element-she loved having everyone's attention. So dance classes here we come!! Her teachers said that when they started practicing that Addison said-I want to go to Stage. My Dad said "A Star is Born." After I picked her up from her performance she wanted Ganmomma-so sweet. Meme and Pawpaw and Bryce came to watch and so did Aunt Kelly-Chad-Mantha. AJ was in the 3yr old group and did an awesome job.

Fabulous Festive Weekend

I started our weekend out early by picking Addison up from daycare and heading to Super Target to do some Christmas shopping-then a dash by Wendy's for dinner and then off to Barnes and Noble for a Christmas story reading of the Polar Express. Granted she was more interested in pulling the books off the shelves-but she still had fun. They provided jingle bells-milk and cookies for the kids. Then on Saturday we headed to Drake's 2nd Birthday party!! Stinkin cute "Breakfast on Sesame Street" love it love it love it!! The kids and adults had so much fun. Drake was a super excited little boy for his birthday. Then we headed to Tractor Supply for more Christmas gifts then headed home for a much needed nap. Addison and I picked up some Popeyes for dinner then ventured back out for Germantown Baptist Church living Nativity scene. It was awesome!!!! Addison got to see camels, lamas, sheep, goats, horses and all sorts of different animals. She loved seeing baby Jesus and all of the kids dancing around. This is a tradition of ours that will last a lifetime. I had a wonderful day with my baby girl-she is growing up right before my eyes. I layed her down to sleep and we said our prayers and I am pretty sure she was asleep before her head hit the pillow. Then her Daddy finally made it home from a long Saturday at work (working all the time is getting old). Sunday morning I got everyone up and dressed for church. We went to G'town Baptist-it has been so long since I was there for a Sunday morning-very cool seeing a lot of old faces. Addison was really excited because I told her she was going to get to meet NEW Friends-yep all fun and games until she walked into the room. But no fear-they gave her her blankie and 2min later she was good to go. So good to go that she didn't want to leave when we got there to pick her up. Then we went by Quiznos for lunch and then home for yet another much needed nap then we all got ready and headed to the Collierville Mall where Santa was!!!! YAY and yes Mommy was soooooo excited. She loved him!! He was so wonderful with all of the kids. Not a tear in sight this year!!!

Our Thanksgiving started with cleanin up the house so Jill and Uncle Mike could see it for the 1st time. Then off to Germantown to celebrate with a feast at Mom & Dad's.

List of attendes: Mom, Dad, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Tommy, Jill, Uncle Mike, Jeff, Amber, Kaleb, Kayden, Kelly, Samantha, AJ, Chad, Bryan, Addison and me. We had a great day filled with pictures-food and good talks. This year I am so thankful for a wonderful family-a loving husband and a healthy happy 2 year old. Pictures soon to come......

I was off 5 days for the Thanksgiving break-luckily I was able to sleep a lot since I have been sick for about 3 weeks. Yesterday they put me on a Z-pac, Sinus Cocktail shot and sudafed-I am feeling better but still working on getting to 100%. I have lost 9pds!! I am on a new shot from my diabetes doctor-once I get my weight down then we can try to get pregnant again. Addison is going to be a wonderful big sister one day.

Sooooooo we are smack dab in the middle of hunting season

Hunting Season means--being kissed at 3:50a.m. by a man in camo that has been

fumbling around the room for something camo to wear-slaming doors-using the restroom and then I am supposed to go back to sleep while hearing the garage door open-the big truck start up and barrel down the road- then I am supposed to get up with the kiddo-make breakfast-play with the kiddo-feed kiddo again-lay kiddo down for a nap that she really doesn't want to take (but needs to) finally take my shower-clean the house-put up the dishes-wash clothes-run to target-fix dinner-wash the kiddo-put the kiddo to bed. Ohhhh but wait....then the husband comes home tired from sitting in a dang tree all day not seeing JACK CRAP!!!! Get outta here!! I am the one who is exhausted LAWDY MERCY. Therefore there will be a new event in January called Wifes of Deer Hunters!!! We can't wait!!!

They should be in the party planning business. It was awesome! We had about 37 folks in the house compared to the 4 that could fit comfortably in the old house-that ranks up there with AwEsOmE! We had such a wonderful night-getting to show our super clean and decorated (hard dang work) to all of our friends and family. This morning she was asking where the deer were-just about every morning we try to avoid hitting the lovely deer! After I dropped her off at school I did end up seeing a 6pt deer in the field. I hate she missed it. I am pretty sure that she is going to be Daddy's bestest hunting buddy ever!

Last week my Mom and Dad had to put down my poodle of 17 years. I got her when I was 13 years old. My Dad appraised a house that had white poodle puppies right around Christmas time. The owners showed up on the doorstep with this little white ball of fur-Mom and Dad said-Heather the doors for you...I could not believe my eyes. They had actually gotten me a dog-my very own! I asked for one all the time. That Christmas we took her all bundled up to Mawmaw and Pawpaws for her very 1st Christmas.Kimmy was by my side every day-she even rode in the front of my backpack while I rollerbladed. This dog/bestfriend knew everything about me-every secret-every boyfriend-through middle school, high school, getting married and she even got to be tourted by my very own daughter. 17 years-I am just amazed that she made it that long considering she was my dog. Mom and Dad would not let her come live with me because they said that I could not provide her with the same lifestyle as she had there. Although-after I had Addison I stayed with Mom and Dad and sure enough Kimmy was in the bed with me all day while I caught up on my sleep-she never left my side. Sweet dog-never hurt a fly. I love you Kimmy and I will think of you every day.

What 30 means to me

What 30 means to me.............

It means that I no longer can dress like I'm 18

It means that gravity is working against me

It means 9:45 is bedtime not the time to take a shower and go out (wow how things change)

It means I am still young enough to be a cool Mom-I don't plan on not being a cool Mom

It means I had to copy the girl in the Walgreens aisle to know what to wear today

It means that all my life I have tried to make my hair as straight as possible-this morning it is naturally curly

I am not going to let 30 slow me down. I am going to plow right through and enjoy this time as a Wife-Mom and as an adult who understands life.

I am no longer going to care if the carpet is stained or the clothes are not washed-I am going to have people over anyway (secretly they don't care-they just care that they were invited)

I am going to enjoy my kiddo as a toddler-this is not the terrible 2's-but rather a time for her to learn so much and ask a million questions on the way to school-it is a beautiful time. Just like that song says "Your gonna miss this"-I think about that everytime I start stressing and hurrying through life. I am not going to work myself to death over my job-WHY you may ask...Well because I've seen people still get fired for working 7a.m.-9p.m. and it didn't get them any farther. Not going to waste my life working. Don't get me wrong I do thank God every night that I have a job and that we can pay the bills. I am not going to waste my brain power on wondering why people don't want to be a part of my life or my kids life-the people that really care are in my life already and they come around because they want to be a part of our life. I am going to live my life and not worry-God will take care of us. I love this time in my life-I am going to take more vacations and live life-these will be the best years ever!

On Sunday afternoon on October 9th I decided for my Birthday that I wanted to take pictures of Addison in her Halloween outfit and her Pumpkin Outfit-I love this time of year when the weather is perfect and the leaves are falling. At the end of taking pictures Addison found a rather large tree in Collierville Town Square-she took a rather large ant off of it=needless to say-this was the hilight of her day. She loves any kind of animal and loves being outside. I love this kid with everything I have-everyday her smile brightens my day.

So last night when I was laying down-I did NOT want to go to sleep.....

Why?.........Well because I knew that last night was the last night in my 20's. And that today I would be the full 30 years old. WOW really ME???? Get outta here-I still feel 18. I remember my Mom being in her 30's-I am now as old as my Mom. WOW that is just so crazy to me. But I am turning over a new leaf-moving on from party days into more of the family-kid mood. 30's are going to be the best years of my life-with my hot husband my awesome family and my adorable daughter and who knows-maybe before to long we may actually have another one. This past weekend was so wonderful!

My Mom and Dad went with me and Addison to the Memphis Zoo on a chilly Saturday morning-it was the perfect time to go. All of the animals were up and there were not too many people there. Then we ate at Salsa b.c. I HEART the cheese dip there BIG TIME. Then we came home and let Addison take a very short nap then off to the sticks we went. Now that we have moved we are closer to Ali-Lee & Kyler. So Ali and I and the kids played at the house while the boys went hunting. Then once they got home we cooked hot-dogs and smores over the fire! It was awesome-Addison and Kyler loved it! It was really cold-but so much fun. Sunday we made a trip to Lowe's where Bryan was able to find his very own fire pit for the house!! Yep he couldn't stand it-had to have smores at his house. My Word! No curtains in the house-but Hey we have a fire pit!! Boys will be boys. We finally got the internet-so we will be having a blog post with all pictures.Yippeee. Addison picked up my lens to my camera and said "Smile Mommy-I take picture!" Yay I am teaching her right.

#2. Don't clean the house top to bottom before painting-this is a very bad idea

#3. There will be nastyness on your floors/windows/walls/base boards from the sanding that will take place in order to paint.

So back to #1 get the house painted before you move in and clean!

So unlike most other folks-I indeed could not get everything accomplished in my one week of vacation to work on the house. ha! The painters started on Tuesday and as of last night-we have moved out to my folks house while the whole house gets painted due to the glowing smell of paint thinner and paint. It is down right nasty over there. So last night 8p.m.ish I was at Home Depot picking out paint colors!! Bahahaha there are just too many colors to pick from-I'd be better off picking from like oh ya know about 3. But Bryan said just pick the colors and walk away-haha soooo easy for him to say! Ummm every room is a different color!!

On Saturday we ventured out to the Germantown Festival with Sally & Nathalie to explore all of the handmade items-it was a beautiful day!! I picked up a frame, T-shirt and some beautiful handmade necklaces. It was well worth going to as usual. Addison made it from 10-2! I totally skipped a much needed naptime for her-but she did catch a nap on the way home. Bryan stayed around the house and cleaned the pool and replaced all of the light fixtures-yea!!!!! Not exactly a fun day for him. But I was happy with the outcome. On Sunday we went to Brooke's 2nd Birthday party and then on to the Harper's new house in Oakland. We let Addison and Bryce play outside-they had a blast but they were worn out.

Mom & Dad helped a ton with Addison getting her to and from school and hanging out with her while Mommy and Daddy got the house and her room all ready. Gammy (Bryan's Mom from Atlanta) came down and helped us with the move and took care of Addison while we were trying to find things. 1 week later and we are still working on finding things! The furniture has been ordered and we are working on quotes from the painters-we have taken down 3 rooms of borders and 1/2 of the master bath wallpaper as well as Addisons bath and a little in the 1/2 bath. I have changed all of the kitchen knobs and the bathroom knobs-IT was a MUST. Things are looking better around the new Harper house. We have a pool now!! Which is awsome and scarry with a 2 year old. She loves the pool-but we will be putting up a gate to keep her out of it. Addison slept in her big girl bed on Friday September 2nd-we changed her crib to a toddler bed. The first night she was not very excited about it-but did stay in the bed all night. Then on Saturday I put her in it for her nap and she ended up playing the entire time! Sooo Saturday night was a little rough and she got to go to bed early. Gammy stayed with Addison on Sunday while Bryan and I ordered some furniture for the Family Room. (FYI-it is really best NOT to sell your furniture before you move). I did this and we have not had a couch for a week! haha ya live you learn. This week Addison has done great in her toddler bed-she is changing every day and talks all the time (wonder who she got that from!)

I am on vacation this week to move us to our new home!!!! FINALLY!!! We have been working on moving since around January and we have finally closed on the perfect house for us. We closed on our 4th Anniversary-talk about an Anniversary gift! No telling how he will top it next year! haha. I am working non stop this week to clean/paint/whine/dust/mop/whine some more/and get the house all ready before the movers show up on Thursday. When I feel something on the inside it shows all over my face-I can not tell a lie.
If you ask me if I like something I can't say yes if I really don't like it. I was raised in a family where lying was not an option-and if you were caught lying you were punished. In my worst case Mom and Dad would ground me from playing outside. Growing up I was always outside. So in school and growing up when someone lied to me-it was not acceptable and I would disown that friend for lying-because no true friend is going to lie to you except to protect you from something.

I have an unbelieveable memory mostly built of completely useless information.

I can recall where all of my childhood friends lived growing up-I can map out most of the floorplans

I can tell you everyone's first and last name that I went to Elementary school with-yep totally useless information now that I am not in school. But some people seem to think that you just forgive forget and move on. Well not really my style-I can retrive the information-relive it and then get all mad about it again. I can forgive but I cannot forget. Maybe this will get better with age. But some people just think everything is all hunky dorey and fine and dandy if they buy you things-like that is someway for them to feel better about the way they have treated you. I feel sometimes like someone is trying to buy time with my family by buying them gifts or useless items just so we will like them more. I am sorry but that doesn't work in my world. I still have the same bad feelings and neglect from the people that hurt me in the first place. Forgiveness is easy-forgetting not so easy. I pray about this situation-but I still hold a major grudge that doesn't seem to be going anywhere quickly. I will always teach my kids that lying is not an option-even if the truth is not what someone wants to hear it never hurts. Only when you lie do you dig your own grave of always being called a liar and untrustworthy. This is a post that I have wanted to write for a very long time. Glad I finally got to let it out. Addison-one day you will realize that as long as you do good in the world nothing bad can come of it. Always pick to be the good person and the truthful person-you will always win.

On Tuesday I picked up Addison from school a little early and we headed to Peds East for the exciting 2 year old visit with Dr. Mitchell. Ohhh the fun as Addison gets older. She is not I repeat NOT a fan of the Doctors office. There have been many times that she has gotten so upset that she has thrown up all over me and her all at once. This time she did really good and played and laughed and pointed out everything in the room. Then it was on to the finger prick-not so much fun and she was not a fan of the bandaid. Addison kept on saying "hurt it-booo boooo". After that she got 1 shot-I think she was more worried about the bandaids being on her than the actual pain.

On the way to daycare this morning I almost made it a mile from the entrance and looked back at Addison and she had thrown up all over herself and her carseat. Ohhhh lovely-now why she couldn't get sick at home or in the bath tub!! Is just beyond me! haha. So I turned around and headed back home-not real sure if it is beacuse of her teeth coming in or just a bug that she caught. Either way it was purty dang nasty. So today is filled with watching Tangled, Barney, taking a nap and eating snacks all day!! Hopefully that will help her feel better. And Dear Lord.....please don't let this be a bug that everyone gets. Amen

Then reality snaps me back in my spot! I am happy to be a working Mom.

Addison loves daycare and she learns so much-it helps Addison to be out working with other kids, learning, painting, playing outside, learning to share, gets to read books all the time. Why would I want to take that away from her-she loves it and I am so glad she does. With me and Bryan working-we are able to support her in every way. So I am happy to not be a stay at home Mom. Not to mention-I would not actually be able to stay at home! haha which would mean I'd have to work to make up for all of the money I'd be spending while "staying at home". haha

Yesterday I went and checked out 2 more houses on the market with my parents and my niece Samantha. Before walking into the 1st one my agent JS asked me if I wanted the "news" inside or when we stepped into the house. We choose outside-so she said Oak Trail is done! DO WHAT was kind of my 1st thought. We put an offer on a house March 8th and just found out on July 18th that it is a no go. WoW-Mark my words-LAST SHORT SALE EVEEERRRRRRR. The bank countered on our offer $30K above us. Not cool and we totally blame the no good selling agent. I wish agents would not take houses that they really don't want to sell. Sooooo moving on-we are now full swing looking for a house again. Let the SHOPPING begin!!

Atlanta Braves Weekend in Georgia

Bryan, Addison and I left out on July 1st for Atlanta heading to cousin Jill's house for the 4th. We left Memphis at 6:30 and arrived in Atlanta 2:30a.m.!! The last 2hrs in the car were the worst for Addison-the last hour I ended up holding up her head so she could sleep (this is what love is). Saturday morning we woke up and went to the pool with Jill and Mike-Addison had a blast! She loves to swim & throw things in the pool. Then around 4p.m. we got ready and headed to pick up Mike and had dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen (awesome place-highly recommended!)-then we hopped on MARTA and rode down to the Atlanta Braves game that started at 7:10-great game!! We got to see a grand slam!! It was a little hot-but with 2 innings left we watched the rain come in-so we all ended up leaving to head home. We had a wonderful time and hope to keep this tradition up every year. Addison loved watching everything including the fireworks and moving Chick-Fil-A Cow that does the Braves wave! The only thing she wasn't craxy about was when everyone was really loud during the grand slam. Bryan got his HUGE hotdog and I got my dip-n-dots which makes this game a great one! Sunday we layed around then went to visit Bryan's Mom-Ginger. They made us a delicious dinner and had tons of gifts to give Addison. One of the coolest gifts was Ginger's collection of Disney movies-which we watched on the way home-she had been collecting the movies before Addison was born. The best part was eating chocolate covered strawberries (Addison LOVED it!). Monday was a nice family bonding day at The Mall Of Georgia!! Yahoo Weeeee once a year I get Bryan to go to the mall with me. I love the time that we get to spend together. Addison's favorite part was the carousel. I also bought Addison her birthday present while we were down there-an Itty Bitty baby from the American Doll Collection. She is all into baby dolls-so caring with them and she feeds them all the time and makes sure they take a nap. We ended up heading back home after dinner at Firehouse Subs we made it 3hrs out to Manchester TN-Then on Sunday we woke up and had breakfast in bed and then drove 4 hours home-we did stop in Jackson to see Aunt Debbie and Uncle Tommy to drop off a delivery of books from Jill. We had such a great trip to Atlanta and can't wait till we get to go back.

We had Father's Day with my Dad on Saturday afternoon at American Cafe'-Kelly and I got Dad a gift certificate to Shutterfly so he could do his book from the Europe trip. We had a great lunch and then headed to Ali and Lee's for the Crawfish boil (2 posts back). Yes I am playing catch up! One of the little girls in the daycare room Samantha aka. Sammy to Addison told her Mom that she wanted her hair done like Addison-which is most of the hair on the top of her head pulled up into a ponytail and then a bow in the front. Addison started at her new church daycare on May 31st-she loves it! There are 8 kids and 2 teachers-she gets to dance and sing and play and learn all day. Mommy is now very happy.

House Update: Well crap hit the fan yesterday when I about fell out of my chair due to my real-estate agent calling and telling me the following news...........The seller has been going through a 3rd party group that was supposed to be helping to speed the short sale along-but they put him through a program to make sure that he could indeed not afford the house-well they have just now decided that YEP he can't afford it-so the BOA can now accept a short sale offer!! OH my goodness-yesterday was supposed to be our closing date and that was not the answer I was really looking for. So our new closing date will be Sept 6. I will be in shock if we actually get to move by the end of the year. So we have 3 more months to sit and wait.

Addie G got picked up from school aka daycare early on Thursday which ended up being her last day at Learning Tree sniffle sniffle-but we are ready for something new.

On Friday I took a vacation day to spend some time with Addison-we took a trip to Cameron Brown park to take some pics and swing. Then we met up with Meme and cousin Bryce for lunch.

On Saturday we ventured out to Cameron Brown for a picnic with Aunt Kelly-Samantha and AJ. Then Addison and AJ got to swing and feed the ducks while I took some pictures of Samantha-Annie and Hannah. (So they could look HOT in their Facebook pics) haha. Then after Addisons nap we took a 3 mile walk around Shelby Farms. WOWZA it was HOT! And that walk was entirely too long-while pushing a stroller. Sunday we made it to Church and then all 3 of us ate lunch at Casa Mexicana with the Church group. Then we all came home and took a much needed nap-then we got up and got ready for the Members Only event at the Memphis Zoo. It was fabulous!! We saw the SeaLion show and the Black bears up close and all of the animals were out and playing. Then we put Addison in her swim suit and let her play in the river with her Daddy-she had a blast. Travis-Kelly and Marshall were all there. Marshall loved dancing to the music and the river.On Monday we got up early and headed to Shelby Farms to walk around Patriot Lake and have a snack under the shade. Addison is such a little trooper when we go out. Then on Monday night we chilled out with our Sunday School group at the Simons house. The kids played outside and we ate burgers. Addison had a blast! Then today was her 1st day at her new daycare!! She did awesome-didn't even shed a tear. Although I did-I am not much on change. I was so glad to have a long weekend to prepare me and her for a change of scenery with the new daycare. I took her picture this morning before she headed to school! haha-more Pictures soon to follow.

**House Update**

We are still working on selling our house-For Sale By Owner and the latest update on the G'town house is that the paperwork is in the hands of the investor which could take 2-7wks. BLAH!

What a beautiful weekend!

I was off of work on Friday-so we loaded up and headed to the Zoo with

Kelly-Marshall-Sally-Nathalie-Amy and Levi

We had a great time! We let Addison walk around all over the place-she loved every minute of it.

Then we all ate lunch at the Cat Cafe' then headed home for a much needed 4 hour nap. Then we headed to Kelly-Travis and Marshalls house for our 1st annual Easter Egg Dying event! Which was fabulous!! We had pizza/ cookies/ dye/ eggs and the whole 9 yards.

I don't know who was more excited me or her.

While I am getting her bath ready I sit her on her little pink potty that is next to mine-turn the water on and she sits and goes. Hmmmm maybe this potty training thing wont be to bad after all. I am not going all out and potty training her at 20 months-but I decided might as well start with her sitting on the little potty some. I am just suprised that she actually went.

Today we turned 20 months! We talked all the way to school this morning. Our favorite words are:
Ganmomma, Dada, Momma, Elmo, Murkey Mouse, NO, Go, Out, Night Night, AJ, Bye Bye, Purple, Pink, Lellow, Abby and Bobby. Size 4 diapers, Size 6 shoe, Size 2T clothes and 24lbs. She is tiny with a big attitude-even walks with an attitude. (I think her Daddy taught her this!) I bought her a Red Rider tri-cycle this past weekend. I figured she had enough toys that I could push her on and that she needed some toys that she could do herself (work off all of that energy). Addison goes to sleep at 8p.m. and wakes up usually around 8:30 on the weekends and we have to wake her up on the week days. This kid loves her sleep. However-she is not a fan of naps at school-I guess she is affraid that she is going to miss something. But on the weekends she will take a 3 hr nap. Go figure. At this age I am loving the hugs and the hand holding and the surprised looks. Everything is new and exciting. We thank God every night for giving Addison to us to raise.

This morning on the way to School aka Daycare-Addison and I were listening to K-Love. The lady on K-love had parents day at her kids school and the kids wanted to sing Jesus Loves Me on air. The song came on and I looked back at Addison and she was dancing along with the song and had a huge smile on her face. It was a great moment for me. I know she hears this song at church and loves to dance to it. These small wonderful moments make parenting all worth while.

Addison is 19mths almost 20mths and her favorite thing to do is give HUGS. Not just a hug and run-but the kind that goes all the way around you as she holds on tight. We have noticed that Addison really likes American Idol-she loves to watch people sing and the music makes her dance.
-Addie Funny- Bryan was doing push-ups in the living room last night and Addison was watching him with her head going up and down and then she made a pounce for him! haha she jumped on his back and laughed and laughed-till she fell off. From then on out Bryan had to wait till she left the room to do his push-ups.

My Mom has started singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider to Addison. Saying that she LOVES IT is an understatement. The other day we were at Ganmomma and Gandaddys house and Addison asked Mom to sing it about 10 times. She gives you the look and says SPIDUL while putting her itty bitty fingers together like you do when you play the Itsy Bitsy Spider-it is priceless and Mom would seriously sing it all day long. Last night Addison and I were sitting on the couch watching TinkerBell before bed and Addison put her fingers together and said Spidul! So I got to sing it to her before she went to bed. Such a sweet age.

I want to share part of an article that I read yesterday~I am all about holding on to things that were given to me as a gift or that were expensive. Example: I held on to a white sweater that my Mom bought me 12 years ago! And why did I hold on to it........Because 12 years ago I remember her paying a lot for the sweater because it went perfect with the Khaki dress I was wearing to an outside wedding! So although it no longer fit-I felt guilty evertime I thought about giving it to someone else that could use it. So silly. But here is the article:

Ditch The Dress?

You hope to fit into that dress again......well, maybe someday. But before deciding to keep it, ask yourself these 3 important questions:

-Did it ever fit well?

-Is it still in style?

-Can you think of an occasion to wear it?

Save only the clothes that meet those criteria-but don't store in your closet. Put them in a box and label it with the date. If you come across it a year later and haven't changed sizes, it's time to let the stuff go.

Here is the other part that I liked:

"If you haven't used something in a year, throw it out. Don't feel bad if it's a gift someone gave you." An item only has a value only if you benefit from it; otherwise it's clutter. "If you haven't used it in a year, name a specific occasion when you will need it, or get rid of it." And don't feel bad about tossing old gifts. "The love came from the person who gave you the gift, not from the actual sweater or gadget. You've received and enjoyed the kind thoughts, so let the object go."

So on that note..........I will be cleaning out my closet if anyone needs me

This past weekend we were on the GOOOOO all the time

Friday was dinner out with Sara & David from our Sunday School Group to give us some insight into the world of renting-wow on second thought I think we may sell. Gracious-could someone please just buy this house so we can move on. Then on Saturday it was clean the house and clean out the closets-I got rid of all of my Stanford suits that I was holding on to. I figured that someone needs them more than I do. Then on Saturday evening we went to the Todd Family Farm in MS for a Crawl fish Boil-Yup you did not mis-read that. I said Crawl fish Boil. Lee taught Bryan all about how to eat Crawl fish about 2 years ago-Bryan looks forward to this event every year. Seriously-all 3 of us arrived and we didn't see Bryan till it was almost time to pack up and head home. Looks like the hubs needed a guys night. All of the girls and kids stayed inside and played and talked. It was a great night. Then Sunday morning was church for us and then the gym and then a trip to Ganmommas and Gandady's house for dinner. Great weekend overall.

So I got a call today that Addison had been bitten on her forehead---yes no need to re-read that said FOREHEAD! How the heck do you get bitten on your FOREHEAD! Oh lordy Mae-I will be removing Addison from this daycare as soon as we get approved for the house we just put a bid on. Dear Lord-please let the bank accept our bid-that way I can move Addison to a different daycare. Such a mess the daycare situation has been. I wish they had the same teachers all the way through. It would make it so much easier. Addison is not the bitter at school-but when she comes home playfully she will bite me every once in a while. But we send her to time out and tell her no. I wish there was a way to work full time and be able to stay at home with Addison. Daycares are rough. I went and checked out another one today-didn't seem much better than where she is at now-and if we do get the house that we put a contract on I am going to move her anyways.

Which leads me to my second desire for y'all.

I don't want you to be happy. I want you to be holy. That means, I want you to seek that God-power to make you content. I want you to want the Kingdom of God more than your own kingdom. And that's hard, babies, that is so hard. And that usually means passing up a lot of what the world considers happiness. But it means that you will achieve blessings directly from God that most of the world never dreams of because they are too occupied with the achieving the perfect birthday present!This means you may be poor, 'in want' as Paul said, and that's okay. It will never, ever be okay with the world for you to be poor. So you'll be up against the world. But not your dad and me, loves, because it was never our goal for you to be wealthy - at least not in the way that the world considers wealthy.Darlings, we love you so much. You will never even grasp how much we love you until you have children of your own, and then you'll get it, and then you'll apologize for the ways you treated us ;) But our goal is not to please you. Our goal is to please our Heavenly Father. But the Lord does command us to care for the orphan around fifty times. He does tell us to care for the poor around 300 times. He does tell us that when we care for the neediest, we are caring for Jesus Himself. She is a mess-but a very sweet little girl

MAMMAAAAAA when she is hungry

and DADAAAAAAA when we enter the subdivison-she knows he is supposed to be home waiting on her

She goes to sleep at 8p.m. every night-and tells us night night sometimes as she heads to her room

Daycare issues have not been fun lately-no worries Addison-Mommy took care of everything

And if all else fails-I will move you to another place although I think you really like this place-but safety over fun for me! Guess I'd better start planning her 2nd Birthday! Goodness how time flys. I love being Addison's Mom-she makes me a better person.

Every night before dinner we hold hands as a family and say a prayer before we eat. For the last couple of weeks Addison adds an AMEN at the end when we say it. Last night before dinner as Bryan and I held hands she took both of her hands-laid one on Bryans hand and one on mine. Then as we got close to the end of the prayer-really loudly she says AMEN and then pulls our hands apart. 2 cute! I guess she was really hungry and trying to speed this whole prayer thing up! ha what a mess.

And why is this post called Time Out??? YEP you guessed it-Miss cutie patootie herself has gotten in trouble. She hits-she was into bitting but now we have graduated to hitting. BUUUTTTTT she only hits me! I have tried tone of voice low and high, hitting her on the wrist (she frowns then laughs), telling her NOOOO really loud. But now-I have decided to try to resist all of these tactics used against her and have a TIME OUT corner in the house. It gives Mommy a time to relax from getting hit in the face-and it gives Addison a moment of silence to sit by herself. I am hoping that this will work.
------------Last night she got in trouble for trying to climb on the table-so Bryan placed her in time out-----well miss priss was within an arms reach of her car and hit the car clear across the room-----we tried really really hard not to laugh----but my goodness----this kid is something else. We are fully aware that we have our hands full.

After a lovely day of accounting I drove on over to pick up Addison from daycare. What a lovely place daycare is..........Addison ran to me and wiped what I thought was dirty snotty hands on my pants but no no wait for it.......wait.......POOOOOOOO all over her hands! She had pottied and then proceded to take it out of her diaper and get it all over her shirt, pants, everything in sight. AS WELL AS all over me. THANK YOU Addison for the lovely new smell. Then she screamed all the way home-because she is not one for sitting in her own Poo (can't blame her). So we are not to far from potty training-she knows when she goes but we are just not to the warning Mommy that it is coming.

On another side note-our computer at home is infected! LOVELY......I have pictures to post from the Zoo and the Park but can't get them loaded at home. Hopefully tonight I can un-infect the computer and get it up and running.

*Sunday night Addison did not sleep good at all (very rare) she usually really likes her sleep. But I think her tummy was upset from me feeding her cheese all day. All she wanted was to be held. Which was fine by me. I picked her up and rocked her until she fell asleep on me. Hope everyone enjoyed the nice 70 degree weather this past weekend. I know we did! Can't wait for more warm weather.
