Here we are at 8 1/2 months & we are just getting our 1st tooth! YAY for Addison. Today 4/27/2010 I got a call from the daycare that Addison was running 102 fever. So I picked her up at lunch time & Bryan came home from work to take care of her while I went back to work. The teacher said that she had a tooth that had broke through the skin! I could not believe it! I check her mouth all of the time. She never acts like anything is hurting her. So I was so surprised. It is on the bottom on the left hand side. So Addison is getting a play date with her Daddy today ( I think she faked the temp-just to come home & play with her Daddy). haha-Hopefully we won't have a temp with every tooth that comes in.

I dropped Addison off at daycare this morning & one of her teachers stopped me to tell me that she had never seen a baby do this. Apparently Addison is jumping with both feet in her bed at the daycare. She is also jumping off of both feet in her walker as well. I am thinking that maybe we need to get her into gymnastics ASAP! Go ADDISON-Bring Home The Gold! Her teacher said some of the toddlers can't even do that. She said that she is very advanced for her age. We have heard this before on the talking issue too. I am sure the talking issue will get us in trouble one of these days when she is in school. But hey-she comes by it honestly.

Tuesday morning I picked up Addison from daycare & as I walked in they say "there's been an accident" OH NO! Addison had a huge goose egg smack dab in the middle of her forehead! Black & Blue with a red line going across it. This happened at 4:30 & I picked her up around 5:30. They had applied ice to the boo boo but it was still huge. Of course me being the new Mommy & all-I had thousands of thoughts running through my head! Do I let her fall asleep? Are they telling me the truth? How do I trust perfect strangers with my child? Are they even watching her? I wouldn't even let her stay with some of the people I do know for free-then I go & let random people keep her & pay them big time! What is wrong with this picture! This is the stress of making decisions for your child as they grow up. I know Addison has a lot of fun playing with the people & kids & all of the toys at daycare. It is one little goose egg-so I will be a big girl & let her go back. Making decisions that involve your child is a very hard job. After having a child-I believe that everyone else is a horrible driver! haha

Over the weekend I was washing some dishes while Bryan was eating dinner & watching TV with Addison. I had a million things running through my head & told Bryan that Addison needed to take swimming leasons around 2 1/2 to 3 years old (this thought came from Brianna who's little girl Ella just took swim lessons). Bryan said-wow ok that was random. Then of course being the husband that he is he said hey "When Addison is 37 and she gets married" then he stopped and waved his hand like he had just eatin something hot-I said what what is it? Was that a hot bite?-he said nooooo and then said that was weird. He got choked up thinking about his little bitty girl getting married one day. He got all watery eyed then had to leave the room for a moment. The joys of watching a new Daddy with his daughter & everything that we will go through with her. It was one of the sweetest moments of my weekend. The other sweet moment was finally getting Addison to her Big Girl bed!! YAY for Mommy! I finally put her in her crib at 8 months old! We are now all sleeping great. Our little talker likes to get up & play from 3a.m.-4a.m. it is pretty funny until we are really really tired. So now she can talk & play all by herself in her new big crib. Bryan & I miss her bad in our room & I loved to hear her breath-it helped me to know that she is ok. Just a Mom thing I guess.

Addison Grace you are 8 months old today!
Here are some of your likes:
pears. applesauce. standing up. rolling over. paci and blankie. you suck your left thumb when you can't find your paci. you love dogs. you love your stuffed animal violet that sings to you & your talking elmo doll and your little lamb that you cuddle up to at bedtime. you love to be carried around by Mommy on her hip. you love to mess with necklaces and watches. you like your teacher Genelle at school. you get a huge smile on your face when I pick you up from daycare. you like to go to hobby lobby to shop because there is so much to look at. you love when Daddy comes home from work-you know it is now time to play.
Here are some of your dislikes:
carrots-well you like them/but they don't like your stomach. when Marley barks you jump. when there is a loud noise we clap our hands and say YAY Addison to distract you from crying. oh and here is the big no no for you.....when Mommy gets her purse in the morning and heads toward the door passing you so I can put my purse down to pick you up-you cry every morning-I guess you are affraid that I am going to forget you. you disike old women and old gray haired men (soooo funny to me). I think you have a sense about good people from bad people.
Happy 8 Months Addison!
Mommy & Daddy & Marley Love you soooooo much!

On Thursday April 1st I watched Addison go from laying down on her changing table to sitting up all by herself. Then on Friday April 2nd I watched her go from sitting next to her crib to pulling up on the outside rails and holding herself up STANDING UP!! At just 7 1/2 months old (seriously they should not be able to do this until they are 2). haha But my goodness! She is growing up & changing so quickly. She has been crawling some & she will get on all 4's and try to go forward then sit down real quick. She will be 8 months old tomorrow. I have never watched something grow so quick in all my life. Tomorrow I will try to add her Easter pictures-but I have a few more that I need to take before making my book at Costco-that is how I am going to keep all of her pictures. I print them in a digital book-it is awesome! And not very expensive. (Which is a plus with the husband!)
